We continue using the same procedure for morning drop off and afternoon pick up.  For those who are new, the procedure is as follows:

Morning drop off

     - You will enter the campus through the entrance on 142nd Avenue

     - You will enter the driveway and school rotunda and follow the drive all the way to the end or until you are directly behind the car in front of you

     - You will then drop off the student on the school side only

     - You will exit the driveway and may turn right to exit unto Sunset Drive or left unto SW 68 Street.  Please remember that when exiting the school grounds,  you may only turn right on Sunset Drive

Afternoon pick up

-Students will be lined up outside with their teachers

-Please let the teacher know who you are and who you are here to pick up

-For the safety of your child, please NEVER take a child without notifying the teacher

-Students will not be dismissed to an adult unless the adult walks up to the teacher to collect the child (for their safety, no students will be sent to parked cars)

In making Good Shepherd Catholic School your choice for your child's Catholic education, you have chosen a caring and loving fully certified faculty.  We will provide child with the one on one attention he/she deserves.  Thanks for joining our growing family!

    About Good Shepherd Catholic School...

One of the most recently established schools in the Archdiocese of Miami, our school serves the needs of families in our vicinity by providing high quality Catholic education for students.

We strive to imitate our Lord, the Good Shepherd, by aiming for a program that provides and leads our students towards academic and spiritual excellence.

We are a growing school with the second phase of our construction already completed.

We are a member in good standing of the Dade Association of Academic Non-Public Schools.

About Our Philosophy...

Our philosophy is to provide a Catholic model for our students to follow.  Our school is here to assist the parents, the primary educators, with the task of developing morally responsible Catholics who follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.  We provide our students with opportunities to further nurture and develop the seeds of love, faith, and charity their parents have planted in them as well as fortify their academic achievement.

About The Mother Seton Program...

We offer a remedial program inspired by the work of education pioneer Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton.  Believing that our mission as a Catholic School is to meet the needs of children from our vicinity who perform at varying academic levels, the remedial pull-out program has been created as a viable option for present and future students of our school.

She founded the Sisters of Charity of St. Joseph in 1809, and is the first

native American to be canonized by the Catholic Church.

About The St. Thomas Aquinas Program...

We offer a gifted program inspired by the teachings of St. Thomas Aquinas.  We strive to meet the needs of students who are academically advanced.

Born in Naples, Italy, c. 1225; died near Rome, 1274; canonized 1323; declared Doctor of the Church in 1567; Pope Leo XIII named him patron of Catholic universities and centers of study in 1880.

About our Sacramental Life...

Our second grade students are prepared for and receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.  Our eighth grade students are prepared during the seventh grade and receive the Sacrament of Confirmation early in their eighth grade year.

We attend Holy Mass each Tuesday at 8:30 AM as a school community and every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month we gather as a school and parish community at

10:30 AM.

About Our Curriculum...
