who was honored with the Outstanding Achievement
Award for academic excellence in Honors Religion
at the Christopher Columbus High School Marist
Achievement Banquet held at the Miami Hilton
Downtown on April 28, 2011.
He also received a Certificate of Appreciation
in recognition for his services as a member of
Rho Kappa (Social Studies Honor Society).
In addition, he was recognized for his
contribution to the Civic Voices International
Democracy Memory Bank Project by providing his
services in the transcription of a video
interview with Jazz legend and community
activist, Leo Casino .

Luis Fuentes ('10) is to be congratulated
for achieving the academic excellence of being
in the top 10% of
Southwest High School.
Luis was recognized at a ceremony in honor of
the top scholars.

Alexander
Howard-Fuentes ('06)
After
graduating from Good Shepherd, Alex went on to
attend Christopher Columbus High School (Class
of 2010). While at Columbus, Alex received
an award for Outstanding Achievement in U.S.
Foreign Policy.
He
is currently attending the New Mexico Military
Academy (Roswell, NM) Service Academy Prep
Course for United States Naval Academy
(Annapolis, MA). Aspires to become Naval
Aviator, currently taking flight lessons at
NMMI.
We
are all extremely proud of Alex!

of our best student athletes while at Good
Shepherd, we are not surprised to see that Christian
Sosa has excelled academically and in the
field of sports at Archbishop Coleman Carroll
High School. At ACC, Christian played on
the Basketball team and earned a letterman
jacket for his efforts.

attending Archbishop Coleman Carroll High School.
While
at Gulliver, he won the "Gulliver Scholarship Award"
for best student.
